True ConnectionsBlurb:
Lia McEvil is back in town, and Max is in trouble.

Under pressure from both their grandmothers, Lia and Max embark on a scheme to find Max a suitable match, but it doesn’t take a compatibility profile to tell the real connection is between Max and Lia. It’s 2012!
Who would have thunk that 2011 would be over so soon! I still can’t believe it! New Year’s day, and what are you up to?
It’s time for me to rethink goals, make dreams come true, try to figure out what I need to do for the New Year! New beginnings galore!
I’ve been writing for years, watching myself, pushing myself to succeed. Sometimes the journey is seriously overly exhausting, but you know what? The end result is worth it.
Since 2010, I’ve published a total of 9 works, another contracted but in edits, and also 2 of my stories have gone into print anthologies. It’s amazing, considering the draw full of rejection letters I’ve collected over the past five or so years. You would never think of how much hard work it actually takes to be a writer. Being an author is a whole different story.
I remember my first ‘email’, Decadent Publishing had emailed and offered a contract. And the first thing I thought was that they must be crazy. lol. All those rejections will do that to a person, but they gave me my first contract and also showed their faith in me and my abilities. I’ve gone on testing other publishing waters, and written much more.
My accomplishments have shown me that my hard work has paid off and for me to keep going. I’m definitely not a quitter. Don’t get me wrong. I’m still getting those rejection letters, but knowing that I’m constantly improving gives me a peace of mind. I’d rather someone pubbed me because they see the potential I have as a writer, not just because my piece is readable. I want to know that my masterpieces bring readers joy and that they feel the same things I do as they read the story (Well, not the stress of writing and editing it, anyway.)
There I go rambling on again.
Well, it’s officially 2012! My goals for this year are to write more, move up the success ladder, knock off a few milestones, lose a million pounds, and continue to further my writing career.
What are your goals?
Don’t forget it’s the last day to stop by the Romance Author Hotspot Holiday Bash! Enter to win a Kindle FIRE! How’s that for starting a new year?

Thanksgiving is finally over. You’ve battled Black Friday. You’ve scoped out all the sales only to find nothing, now you know you need to gear up for the holiday, but where does this leave you?
Does writing take a break too? Can you afford to take a break from writing? Will it be mean of you to neglect your family for those few hours while you jot down ideas or work on that next best-seller?
Usually, I’m crazy hectic around this time of year, and I still am. The reality of it hits December 1st! When everyone starts counting down the days till Christmas…
If you’re like me, then no doubt you’re piling on a million things to do and believe yourself superwoman who could finish everything on time and make everyone else’s holiday special. The stress is eating you alive and you can’t stop yourself. You want to do a million things, but you find yourself giving up one thing over the other.
I sit here staring at all the work I have piled on my desk. My muse is throwing a tantrum and demands that I write, while I’m trying to organize my Christmas lists and figure out my next plan of attack for a smoother holiday. How do you overcome all this and ensure that the holidays is the best it can be without affecting your writing?

So One Chance was released today, officially, and release day always make me nervous, in case I forget to do something or do something stupid like get my release date mixed up. Totally author nerves. I get them every time I have a new book coming out.
Since I’m so used to hiding out in my cave and working and just focusing on writing or editing, I’m oblivious to what’s going on around me…most of the times, but I am known to be very detailed-oriented and organized (<–that’s a lie. I may look organized, but I’m seriously a bag of chaos!) So you may think I don’t notice, but I do notice a lot of things.
But the exciting thing was finding out that One Chance, only officially released a few hours ago has earned a silver star at All Romance e-books! How exciting is that? Check it out here! It’s so shiny!
I’m having a contest on my main website, so don’t be shy and stop over and talk to me! Share your story with me!

I so love my editor at Entangled Publishing!
I was having one of those crazy nights, staying up late with my CP’s and chatting about promoting as an author and we got talking about submissions. It’s still nerve-racking for me to sub anything. Every story I pen, each story I outline, I go through the whole normal anxiety attack, ‘oh, they’re going to hate it,’ ‘I suck as a writer’. I know you know what I’m talking about!
I’ve been staring at this one chapter I’ve written, contemplating if I should sub it or just finish writing the whole book first. Of course, my awesome editor at Entangled, Libby, is always open to new ideas and discussions.
So I went for the kill.
I hit sent, along with a synopsis and query to show that everything was well planned out.
Only to dig myself into a hole. As usual.
My editor emailed me that morning and asked for a 3 Book Series! How cool is that! Now I have to force my tush down and actually write out the first book and my proposal for the other two!
You would think I’d be a little more prepared. I thought I would have time to actually write out the story before she actually reviews it, but it’s just so great when you have an editor that believes in your work and is as excited about it as you are.
Now I’m off to work on my proposal. But keep your fingers crossed. Hope they love the story! And always remember, never to give up!

…in 5 years. Can you believe it? Yup, yup, yup! It’s that time of the year already! Make sure you lock the doors, hide the candy, and remember to keep your kids from bouncing off the walls! Every time around this year, I always enjoy watching the little trick-or-treaters come up to the house dressed up as witches and goblins, ghouls and zombies! Makes me feel like joining them out on the streets…except it’s been so long since I’ve celebrated Halloween, really.
I miss dressing up! Miss putting on the makeup, painting my face, finding the perfect costume! Of course, I wouldn’t do anything to look scary. I’m more into the cute-girly look even though I may not look at it. Can you see me as a princess? (No, I’m not posting a picture for you either.) But I’ll probably be the one sitting in a chair staring at the kids that come to the door. I can scare them, I swear…without a costume.) And I get to curl up with my favorite Halloween movie, Nightmare Before Christmas.
I used to love going to Halloween parties and oh boy oh boy, the delicious treats! Yeah I miss those. Now I actually have to make ‘em if I want them. *frown* Anywho, this year is going to be special. I actually missed out on Halloween the past 5 years. Can you believe it? With all the traveling I did, I never got to actually enjoy passing out candy to the little trick-or-treaters or running wild on the streets (Yeah…I’m too old for that but it’s so much fun watching kids.) But this year…
I have no choice. I’m actually stuck in one place (Okay, not stuck, but I had to put the travel bug to sleep with some drugs.) I’m truly looking forward to the day! Fall has been around for the past few weeks and I can feel Old Man Winter wanting to make his presence known, so hopefully he’ll hold off until all the candy in my bowl is gone.
So, what are your plans for Halloween? Doing anything exciting? Recovering from the weekend? Or are you dressing up too?

Tempting a Prince December 23rd, 2011 from Decadent Publishing!
Blurb:
Sarah Westfall is on a mission. Living the mundane life of a near spinster school teacher and sick of her parents throwing eligible men at her, she is determined to get over her crush on her best friend’s brother. She wants a prince and wouldn’t settle for less. What better way than a 1Night Stand?
Evan Hunt needs to figure out his enemy’s game plan. Chasing his nemesis to Las Vegas and signing up for Madame Eve’s service and masquerade, he never expected the woman he’s desired for years to appear before him…as his princess.
When their attraction fires the night, the inevitable happens. Her prince isn’t as charming as she’s hoped, but he does save her from trouble. Would he be willing to fulfill her fantasies also?
Excerpt:
Ryder nudged Evan in the arm. “Yo.”
“What?” He couldn’t keep the annoyance out of his tone. He’d searched the room and no McCormick. Was this a joke? Had his informant lied to him?
“Think I spot your date.”
Evan turned to where Ryder pointed. His breath hitched at the sight before him. No more than twenty feet away, his princess stood with her back turned. Her shimmery white gown hugged her curves like a glove. The chandelier above formed a golden hue around her lush figure. Her smooth, milky skin glowed in the light and his mouth watered as his gaze trailed from the bottom up to her slim hips to the bare expanse of her back. He took in the thick blonde curls on top of her head and the sparkle of her crown. Definitely his princess.
Heat rushed through him. Desire struck, blood pooled in his groin, and his cock hardened in a heartbeat.
“You lucky bastard. My date better be as hot as her.”
He barely heard Ryder. All thoughts flew out of his mind. He couldn’t draw his attention from the woman. His feet involuntarily moved forward. His pulse sped as he got closer. When he stood right behind her, he studied her closely. She looked out into the crowd as if searching for someone. He noted the smoothness of her skin, the delicate curve of her earlobe, the gracefulness of her neck. His fingers itched to touch her. He smelled peaches and drew in a deeper breath, her perfume permeating his senses. An alarm sounded in his head. Something familiar about her, but he couldn’t pin it down. He didn’t care. One thing was for sure: he wanted her.
“Princess.”
His date whipped around. Her mouth fell open and her violet eyes widened in shock.
Recognition struck like a fist pummeling his chest.
“Sarah?” His voice actually squeaked.

Silent Night’s SeductionNovember 28th, 2011 from Decadent Publishing!
Blurb:
Stubborn and proud cowgirl, Lily McCormick, is finally coming to terms with her quiet life on her parent’s ranch, until her older brother, as payback, signs her up for 1NightStand. Kidnapped and forced onto a plane to a foreign location, she faces the dreaded cold and an unwanted tryst, until her ex-husband appears before her…as her date.
New York City District Attorney, Rafe Martinez, would do anything to get his ex-wife back, even if it meant taking drastic measures to pretend he was there for another woman. When jealousy and rage surfaces and Lily’s tough demeanor wanes, desire and lust sparks their once powerful connection as truths unfold. Will Rafe convince her to return to him or push her further away from giving their love a second chance?
Excerpt:
A blasphemy erupted into the room. “You came here for a one-night stand?”
The rage in her tone enlightened his heart. If she could be angry with him then she must care for him still. Pouring himself a drink, he took his time answering. “Actually more than that.” He turned around. “It’s three days before Christmas. I’m expecting to spend the whole time with my date and escort her to the ball on Christmas Eve.”
Lily’s mouth dropped open then closed. “Well, good for you. But let me ask you, where is your date?”
Rafe frowned. “You know, that’s a good question. Why and how are you in my room?”
“This is my room!”
He stilled, praying she wouldn’t see through him. “That can’t be. I’ve specifically requested a blonde as my date.”
Lily sputtered. “You—you cad!”
“This must be a mistake.” He went over to the chair he’d occupied earlier hidden from the doorway when she’d entered and pulled his phone out of his coat pocket. “I’ll email Madame Eve and get this straightened out. Worse comes to worse, you can go request a different room.”
An outraged gasp sounded behind him. “Why do I have to be the one to leave?”
He whirled around and gave her what he hoped was a convincing bewildered look. “Unless…you’re my date?”
She paused. “Hell no.”

November 18th, 2011 from Decadent Publishing!
Blurb:
Shy tomboy Jenna Faulkner has been in love her whole life—with her best friend. Except he’s marrying the wrong woman, and he doesn’t know it yet. But she’s determined to save him.
Instead of the normal bachelor party, Jenna decides to throw a different type of gathering…with just her. Alone. Will Cade finally come to his senses and see Jenna for more than a friend, or has she ruined their friendship once and for all?
Excerpt:
“As I said earlier, you can’t marry her.”
“Why not?” A flicker of alarm flashed across his face. He shifted in his seat. His gaze trailed over her from head to toe, and she watched him swallow hard. It was the first time she’d ever seen him nervous in her presence. Her eyes immediately dropped to his lap.
The sight of the slight bulge made her breath hitch. Heat shimmied down her spine. Her nipples tightened under her coat, and an ache formed between her legs. She smiled, a sudden confidence returning to her.
“Jenna.” His husky voice sent a shiver over her skin.
It was the courage she needed.
Moving forward until she stood between his legs, she stared down at him.
“What are you doing?” His eyes darkened as if with fear yet his body told her otherwise.
The coat slipped off her shoulders.
“Fulfilling a dream.”
